December 2014 saw Aspex secure the contract for leading opticians, Vision Express’ new head office building in Ruddington, Nottingham.
The newly refurbished building had an existing magnetic swipe card access control system, and Aspex Security have replaced this with a Salto Proximity system, utilising the unique virtual network, which enables off-line doors to communicate with the software via the cards.
Each employee can access 30 different doors, a new entrance turnstile, an auto swing secure gate and a car park access barrier using one single card. The Salto system uses a combination of standalone battery powered handle sets and hard wired on-line wall readers, which offers unrivalled flexibility, and means that more doors within the building can be access controlled for a fraction of the cost.
With only four weeks to complete the project, the Aspex Security team quickly planned a schedule and made certain it was carefully managed to ensure this express project was finished on time, ready for Vision Express to move its employees in.
Paul Litchfield, Head of Store Development & Facilities of Vision Express said, “The Salto system is perfect for our office, it is cost-effective and we are able to control access easily and efficiently. The highly knowledgeable Aspex security team dealt with our urgent project excellently and delivered it within our demanding timeframe.”Tags: news
